Overview

Dr. Rose Liu focuses her practice on patent prosecution and counseling. She prepares and prosecutes patent applications, evaluates issues related to patentability, validity, infringement, and freedom to operate. Her representative fields of technology include optics, lasers, laser-based sensors, wireless communication systems, semiconductor processing and devices, photovoltaic devices, automatic vehicle guidance systems, machine learning, video compression and coding, computer graphics animation, and mechanical and medical devices.

Prior to joining the legal profession, Dr. Liu conducted research as a scientist at Argonne National Laboratory, and as an assistant professor at Michigan State University. Her research focuses primarily in the area of photoelectron spectroscopy studies of novel materials, such as high temperature superconductors, using synchrotron radiation. She also served as an optical engineer for Agilent Technologies and Optical Associates Inc.
