Mr. Filbin received a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and a B.A. degree in English from the University of Notre Dame in 1994, and a J.D. degree, cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago in 1999. In law school, he was the recipient of CALI Awards for Excellence in the following areas: constitutional law, intellectual property, real estate, and accounting. He previously worked as an engineer for an electro-mechanical component manufacturer whose components are used in electronic applications in many industries. Mr. Filbin is currently involved in all phases of intellectual property practice, with a particular emphasis on patent preparation and prosecution in the mechanical and electro-mechanical arts.
