Eric Magleby is an associate in Leydig’s Frankfurt, Germany Office, where his practice focuses on advising clients in all aspects of U.S. intellectual property law. His patent prosecution experience covers numerous products in a variety of fields, including the automotive, consumer products, manufacturing, medical device, robotics, and recreation industries. Prior to joining Leydig, Eric was an attorney based in Washington, D.C., where his practice involved preparing invalidity and non-infringement opinions and representing clients in lawsuits ranging from patent and trademark infringement to defamation and veteran’s claims. Eric also worked as a patent drafter at a company where he analyzed innovative products, formed patent portfolio strategies, and drafted patent applications. He has a diverse technical background which includes experience developing and prototyping autonomous robots, designing circuit boards, creating an auxiliary power unit designed for unmanned aerial vehicles, and analyzing technical documentation for commercial aircraft components. Eric has also worked in Japan at a large public company where he tested and prototyped electric motors with a team of engineers.
