Leydig, Voit & Mayer successfully represented MCE in a trademark opposition captioned MCE v. Zubair Sardar, in which the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board held in favor of MCE, the opposer. After making various evidentiary rulings in favor of MCE, the Board held there was a likelihood of confusion between MCE’s mark LA BIOSTHETIQUE for beauty products and the applicant’s mark LA BIOTIQUE for personal hair removal services.
