Ms. Ge has a background in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and materials, and has significant experience in drafting or prosecuting patent applications in different fields including: machine learning, autonomous driving, robotics, image-guided surgery, displays, batteries, content distribution networks, gas & steam turbines, gaming, LED bulbs, semiconductor fabrication, antennas, wireless communication, and 3D printing. She was selected into the class for honors degree in physical sciences while attending the University of Science and Technology of China and took courses equivalent to physics or mathematics majors. During undergraduate and graduate studies, she had hands-on research experience in preparing and testing lithium-ion batteries, synthesizing and characterizing Fe-based magnetic alloys for hard disk drives, and industrial experience in metal additive manufacturing for aerospace engines, laser cladding, and thermal spray coatings. Ms. Ge has focused on patent preparation and prosecution since her start as a technical specialist in 2016, and has gained additional experience in trademark, copyright, opinion work, as well as technology licensing and commercialization through coursework and practice at law firm, IP clinic, and the Office of Research Commercialization at NC State.
