On January 14, 2016 James Signor of Leydig’s Frankfurt office presented at a symposium on Article 84 of the EPC hosted by the European Patent Office in The Hague. Mr. Signor’s presentation provided a U.S. practitioner perspective on Article 84, which requires that the claims be clear and concise and supported by the description. As a vice-chair of the European Practice Committee of the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO), Mr. Signor represented IPO at the symposium.
