Thomas P. Canty of Leydig’s Frankfurt office will speak at a seminar on “parallele EP-& US-Patente optimiert anmelden” (Best practices for parallel EP and US applications), on November 16, 2016 in Munich. The seminar, held through the FORUM Institut and taking place in the German language, will discuss key differences to keep in mind when drafting patent claims through the EPO v. the USPTO, recommendations for prosecuting an application through parallel grant procedures at the EPO and USPTO, and best practices to draft an optimized EP and US Patent Application and avoid duplication of work through an optimized patent application.
