CHEMICAL IP LITIGATION ASSOCIATE

Leydig, Voit & Mayer, Ltd. seeks a chemical patent attorney to join our growing Chicago office. The attorney will be responsible for all aspects of intellectual property practice including, for example, litigation, opinions, client counseling, interferences, and application preparation and prosecution.

Candidates should have from 3 to 5 years of legal experience with substantial experience in patent litigation, possess strong writing/analytical skills, superior academic credentials, and a technical background in chemistry or a related field. An advanced technical degree is desirable, but not required. Candidates must be registered or eligible to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

EXPERIENCED PROSECUTION ASSOCIATES & TECHNICAL ADVISORS

Leydig, Voit & Mayer, Ltd. seeks experienced prosecution associates and/or technical advisors to join our anticipated new San Francisco Bay area office or our growing Chicago or Washington, DC offices. These professionals will be responsible for all aspects of intellectual property practice, focusing particularly, at least at first, on application preparation and prosecution, interferences, opinions, and client counseling.

Attorney or technical advisor candidates should have from 1 to 3 years of experience in the intellectual property field (preferably with patent prosecution experience), possess strong writing/analytical skills, superior academic credentials, and a technical background in electrical engineering or electronics, computer engineering or physics. An advanced technical degree is desirable, but not required. Candidates must be registered or eligible to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
