Leydig, Voit & Mayer Announces Caroline Stevens as New Member
January 5, 2009CHICAGO, January 5, 2009 – Leydig, Voit & Mayer, Ltd., is pleased to announce that Caroline L. Stevens, has become a member of the Firm in its Chicago office, effective January 1, 2009.
Caroline L. Stevens focuses her practice on trademark, copyright, Internet, unfair competition issues, false advertising counseling, and related litigation. She represents clients in a wide range of industries, such as insurance and financial services, business information services, industrial products, and consumer goods industries. Representing clients in federal courts around the U.S., she is engaged in all aspects of litigation.
In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Stevens is active in non-judicial trademark and copyright enforcement and defense, and she handles matters involving the Internet, domain names, keywords, Meta tags, and Internet services providers as they relate to trademarks and copyrights. She negotiates and prepares settlement agreements, coexistence agreements, licenses, and trademark and domain name purchase agreements.
Presently, Ms. Stevens serves on the firm’s Marketing Committee and the firm’s Office Renovation Committee, and she is active in several legal associations. As a member of the firm’s Marketing Committee, she assists in writing and editing articles and promotional literature for the firm.
Ms. Stevens received a B.F.A. in 1996 from Cornell University and a J.D. from the University of Michigan in 2000. While in law school, she participated in an internship with the Supreme Court of Argentina.
