Michelle Calkins Joins Leydig, Voit & Mayer As An Associate

CHICAGO, November 29, 2007Michelle Calkins has joined intellectual property law firm Leydig, Voit & Mayer, Ltd., as an associate in its Chicago office, effective immediately. She will concentrate in trademark prosecution and litigation, copyright law, and unfair competition law.

Before joining the firm, Ms. Calkins worked as a judicial extern for Judge Susan Zwick, Circuit Court of Cook County, in Chicago.

A recent graduate of the University of Illinois College of Law, Ms. Calkins received her J.D. degree, magna cum laude. She received dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Physics and Political Science with a Minor in Mathematics from Miami University in 2004, graduating both magna cum laude and with honors. In addition, she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa in the spring of 2004.

Ms. Calkins is currently a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International, and Kappa Delta Sorority.
