H. Michael Hartmann focuses his practice on intellectual property matters, including patent and trade secret litigation, and technology transfer and protection, in the United States and internationally. He has represented clients in courts, trade tribunals, and patent offices in the U.S., Europe, and Japan. He was born in Frankfurt, Germany and is fluent in German. He obtained a B.S. degree in Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, and a J.D., magna cum laude, from the DePaul University College of Law in Chicago. Presently, Mr. Hartmann is the president of the firm and is a member of several professional organizations.
John W. Kozak focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation and counseling. He has served as Trial Counsel involving diverse technologies, including electrical and fiber optic connectors, telephony, television, semiconductors, numeric controllers, software, adhesives, geophysical surveying, food processing, and air filtration. Mr. Kozak received a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a J.D. from Georgetown University. He is also a member of numerous professional organizations.
