Leydig Awarded Multiple NIH Contracts
June 26, 2009CHICAGO, June 26, 2009 – Leydig, Voit & Mayer, a full-service intellectual property law firm, is the only firm selected for all three of the new 10-year contracts that the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has awarded so far. The NIH has awarded contracts for licensing consultations, biotechnology patent legal services, and chemistry patent legal services to seven firms, but only Leydig, Voit & Mayer landed contracts in all three areas.
In March of this year, the NIH awarded licensing consultation contracts to Leydig, Voit & Mayer (Chicago, IL) and Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge (Boston, MA).
Biotechnology contracts were awarded in April to Leydig Voit and Edwards Angell, as well as to Klarquist Sparkman (Portland, OR); Sheridan Ross (Denver, CO); Townsend and Townsend and Crew (San Francisco, CA); and Woodcock Washburn (Philadelphia, PA).
Most recently, the NIH awarded chemistry contracts this month to Leydig Voit; Klarquist Sparkman; Woodcock Washburn, and Cantor Colburn (Hartford, CT).
Other contracts pending determination include the biotechnology contested proceedings (interferences) and the chemistry contested (interferences) proceedings.
