Steven P. Petersen

Mr. Petersen focuses his practice in patent litigation and counseling, having served as trial counsel in both jury and bench trials. He is actively involved in the counseling of clients in the areas of telecommunications, insurance and financial services, particularly with regard to internet-based and computer-implemented technologies and methods. He has served as trial counsel in cases involving semiconductor memories, video games, paper-converting equipment, centrifugal pumps and, more recently, liquid crystal displays, semiconductor fabrication, image processing, and Web browsers.

Before attending law school, Mr. Petersen was employed by Motorola, Inc. as a design engineer in the area of automotive electronics.

Mr. Petersen presently serves as treasurer and a member of the board of the firm. He is actively involved in the legal community and various bar associations.
