Rachel J. Mejdrich

Technical Advisor

Ms. Mejdrich currently works as a technical advisor with an emphasis in the area of biotechnology. She has over a decade of experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the U.S. and foreign countries, and preparing legal opinions including patentability opinions, patent landscape reports, infringement clearance opinions, and validity opinions. She also has been involved in interference and opposition proceedings.

Technologies with which Ms. Mejdrich has been involved include cancer vaccines, microarray technology, expression vectors, nucleic acids including siRNA, proteins, chemical and biological assays, antibodies, cell lines, immunotherapy, medical treatments including HIV and cancer therapies, pharmaceutical compositions and formulations, and enzymatic reactions. She works directly with bench scientists, business development personnel, and licensees to maximize protection of patent portfolios.

Prior to her employment at Leydig, Voit & Mayer, Ms. Mejdrich worked as a senior research technician at the University of Chicago, and held a special term appointment as a molecular biologist at Argonne National Laboratory.
