Mark E. Phelps

Mr. Phelps has been with Leydig, Voit and Mayer, Ltd. Since 1975. Prior to joining the firm, he was a turbomachinery design engineer with Northern Research & Engineering Corp. in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Throughout his career Mr. Phelps has been involved in all phases of international intellectual property practice, with primary focus on litigation, licensing, and counseling. He has had extensive experience in patent infringement litigation in the United States and abroad. Mr. Phelps’ litigation experience includes numerous jury and bench trials in various United States district courts, actions before the International Trade Commission and appellate work. Mr. Phelps has consulted in extended patent litigation in France and Germany. In addition to his extensive litigation practice, Mr. Phelps has also prepared and prosecuted numerous U.S. and foreign patent applications, primarily in the mechanical and medical device arts.
