L. Scott Beall, Ph.D.

Associate

Dr. Beall is currently involved in the practice of intellectual property law, with an emphasis in patent law. After completing his Ph.D. in organic chemistry, he spent two years as an N.I.H. postdoctoral research fellow at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He then began working as a research chemist for the RW Johnson Pharmaceutical Research Institute (now Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research & Development) in Raritan, New Jersey, before attending Rutgers School of Law – Newark.

Eastman Kodak Co. v. Agfa-Gevaert N.V. and Agfa Corp. (W.D.N.Y.) Successfully defended Agfa Gevaert in a five-year-long patent infringement dispute with Eastman Kodak Company, which involved seven patents and over a dozen products.
