Mr. Gase focuses his practice on prosecution, client counseling, and litigation in the areas of biotechnology, chemistry, and related arts. Recent technologies have included immunotherapy and related compositions; nucleic acid probes and microarray technology for disease detection; antibodies; siRNA; cancer therapies; vaccines and treatments for HIV and other viral infections; biologically active small-molecules; pharmaceutical formulations; and specialty chemical technologies, such as nanoparticle and nanoporous insulation materials, integrated circuit polishing materials; cosmetic formulations, inkjet inks, and paper coatings.

Mr. Gase has extensive experience in formulating patent strategies and managing patent portfolios, as well as in counseling and rendering opinions on patent validity and infringement. He also prepares and prosecutes patent applications in the U.S. and abroad. In addition, he has represented clients in contested proceedings, both in U.S. District Court and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
