Mr. Airan is active in all aspects of intellectual property law, with particular emphasis in patent litigation and prosecution in the electrical and computer arts. He has over 18 years of experience as an intellectual property trial attorney and counsel of record in dozens of high technology and high-stakes cases.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Airan worked for General Motors as a lead manufacturing engineer and he interned with Texas Instruments in the Defense System and Electronics Group. He has also conducted research under a National Science Foundation grant in the area of digital signal processing of speech in noise-corrupted environments.

Mr. Airan received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, magna cum laude, from Marquette University in 1989, and a J.D. degree from Northwestern University in 1993. During law school, he was a Note and Comment Editor for the Northwestern University Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology.
