Ms. Stevens is experienced in trademark, copyright, Internet, unfair competition, and false advertising counseling and litigation. She represents clients in a wide range of industries, such as insurance and financial services, business information services, industrial products, and consumer goods industries.
Ms. Stevens represents clients in federal courts around the U.S., and she is engaged in all aspects of litigation. She has experience preparing pleadings, managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, researching and writing motions and briefs, preparing for trial, and negotiating and finalizing settlements. She also has experience handling proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and coordinating foreign trademark litigation on behalf of clients based in the U.S.
In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Stevens is active in non-judicial trademark and copyright enforcement and defense, and she handles numerous matters involving the Internet, domain names, keywords, Meta tags, and Internet services providers as they relate to trademarks and copyrights. She negotiates and prepares settlement agreements, coexistence agreements, licenses, and trademark and domain name purchase agreements.
Presently, Ms. Stevens serves on the firm’s Marketing Committee and the firm’s Renovation Committee, and she is active in several legal associations. As a member of the firm’s Marketing Committee, she assists in writing and editing articles and promotional literature for the firm.

Representative Matters
- Walgreen Co. v. Wyeth (N.D. Ill. 2009). Represented plaintiff in an appeal of a Trademark Trial and Appeal Board decision. Worked with multiple experts and survey evidence. Represented client at a trial on the merits but the case settled before a decision issued.
- American Century Proprietary Holdings, Inc. v. American Century Casualty Company et al. (S.D. Tex 2007). Represented plaintiff in trademark action where the relatedness of financial and insurance services was at issue. Won summary judgment on liability on behalf of plaintiff. Defendant appealed and summary judgment was affirmed by the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
- Whirlpool Properties, Inc. et al. v. New Buffalo Corporation d/b/a Buffalo Tools (E.D. Mo. 2007) (represented plaintiffs in trade dress case involving stand mixer product configuration mark; case settled prior to trial).
- Gordo Enterprises, Inc. v. Nike, Inc. (S.D.N.Y. 2007) (represented defendant in trademark action concerning priority and ownership of trademark rights; case dismissed).
