Mr. Hesterberg is active in all phases of patent, trademark, and trade secret law. He has extensive litigation experience regarding patent, trademark, and trade secret issues. Litigation matters (see below) have involved patent issues on microwave antennas, crane support systems, electrical surgery and ECG-monitoring devices, orthodontic bracket systems, surfactant technology, computer memory modules, co-extruded resin technology, filter technologies and cellular telephone technology, as well as trademark issues on product and product packaging designs.

In addition to his litigation experience, Mr. Hesterberg has prepared and prosecuted patents in numerous technical fields, including electronics, microprocessor-based control systems, microwave transmission systems, and the mechanical arts (such as dental and orthodontic products). He has also advised clients on many patent and trademark validity and infringement issues, including in such diverse areas as semiconductor devices, medical device technologies, industrial jobsite equipment, video equipment, and software and computer products.
